A Distant Travel to Europe!

Wouldn't be great to travel to anywhere around the world without even getting out of our homes? Here is a chance for you to do so! We are integrating AR technology into education. How? After signing up for one of the AR applications (ours is ARloopa, in this case) we integrate some informative/cultural videos into related photos, which enables students to witness the beauty of the aimed place/structure/festival, etc.

The city which I and my partner Ali Görkem aimed is Krakow, Poland. We first designed an     informative sheet which gives some clues about the city, we continued with a video that gives the general impression and which also requires students to use the app. We then prepared worksheets for 3 places (St. Mary's Basilica, Wieliczka Salt Mine, and Wawel Castle), a local food (pierogi), and a festival (The Dragon Parade) each of which includes some general and personal questions. Here you can watch our introduction video:

I and Ali Görkem prepared the worksheets via Canva and found the videos on YouTube we then used ARloopa for our AR experience, I shot the introduction part and Ali Görkem edited it via VegasPro. The only thing that got us trouble was the expiration date of the videos on the app. But we created new accounts and shot the videos immediately. Other than that, it was a very cultural and fun experience to explore such a marvelous city. You can check our work below.
See you next time!
